For this pool bathroom, the clients desired to make a visual splash. Water damage from a leak provided an opportunity to upgrade from the standard builder white cabinetry and drywall; the footprint wasn’t altered, but all of the surfaces were changed, with the exception of the carrara marble countertop and sink (which were removed during demolition and reinstalled without damage). The starting point for the final design was the basalto mosaic tile by New Ravenna, purchased through Filmore Clark. Custom cabinetry in a sunny yellow lacquer with Made Goods hardware; faucet by Brizo; mirror by Noir. The trellis was handmade in Los Angeles; the floor tile is edged in nero marquino marble.
