inner peace
When long-time clients, a dynamic family of five, bought this new house in Santa Monica, it was imperative to carve out space for calm and peaceful interactions, separate from the home’s more active, everyday spaces.
Set apart from the family wing, this room was designed for conversation, reading, and quiet moments. The marble fireplace with grasscloth framed mirror anchors the space, while symmetrical seating in grounded neutrals encourage a sense of balance and ease.
This is a pared-back space without any precious materials, adapting to the reality of raising three young children blocks from the beach. All surfaces are hardworking yet comfortable, and the result is a living room that isn’t about perfection, but presence.
